About Mark Grime

I have been working in the computer/engineering industry for 13+ years.  My most recent  experience includes 4 years as a Color Network Engineer at  Toshiba America Business Solutions where responsibilities included: Instruction of Fiery color controller technical training, telephone support for Fiery and Toshiba color products in all supported network environments, development of curriculum, lesson plans and student workbooks for controller training, write scripts for computer based training and webinars for color printing products, built classroom networks and implemented recovery methods for all student PC and Macintosh workstations, visited accounts with problems too difficult to solve via telephone support.

My previous experience includes:

  •  1 year as Associate Engineer / Network Administrator at Aetas Inc. where my responsibilities included setup and tooling for a wide range of experiments using various National Instruments digital & analog data acquisition products, high-speed cameras, electrostatic voltmeters, and various other test equipment. Also created schematic diagrams in OrCad and assisted with design and prototyping of test instruments & fixtures to conduct experiments. Other responsibilities included generating graphical test patterns and converted graphical formats in Illustrator & Photoshop. Network responsibilities included computer administration and expansion of a 75 station NT4.0 / Exchange server network and provided desktop support for all user software issues. Additional software responsibilities were to generate & adjust plots, graphs, databases, LabView programs, Excel Basic, and Access Basic for various lab experiments and data presentation.


  • 1 year as Service Engineer / Network Administrator at Polytec PI where  responsibilities included calibration and repair of a wide range of micro/nano positioning devices including piezoelectric stages/stacks, strain gages, LVDT sensors, capacitive sensors, motorized micrometers, fiber alignment setups, electronic controllers, etc. Network responsibilities included the maintenance of a Novell 3.11 network and setup new Novell 4.2 network server, upgraded all nodes, implemented Y2K compliance, migrate all server software, setup software changes and import data from existing database, created and executed backup and RAID data protection system, administer user accounts, assisted all users with workstations,  Also supported all telecommunications expansion; administered all extensions and voicemail accounts.


  • 1 year as R&D Electronics Technician /Field Service engineer for Voxel Inc. (Digital Holography) Responsible for maintaining and documenting remote Beta site of proprietary holographic medical imaging device, Assisted in the development of Electro-mechanical devices to meet needs of optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers. Provided service consultation for engineering product development. Generated schematic diagrams in AutoCAD and PSpice. Fabricate parts from blueprints for R&D. Create mechanical mounts for precision optical components in optical R&D lab. Established modifications to enhance laboratory equipment. Performed preliminary testing and evaluation of electronic devices for circuit development.


  • 11 years as Color Graphics Service Representative for  Ikon Office Solutions (formerly Ameritech Communications)   Responsible for installation, service, preventative maintenance, and customer training of Ricoh and Canon color laser copiers and printers at customer locations. Trained new technicians on service procedures and techniques. Installed hardware and software for Fiery i series & XJ series color laser print servers also installed and supported Color Bus Cyclone Color Print Servers.
